The Velis Club suits a wide range of uses — from basic flight instruction to glider towing and long-range cross-country flying — with unbeatable performance.

It is the essential element of the Velis Training System, complementing the Velis Electro to cover all areas of basic and advanced pilot training. The exceptional outside visibility, combined with a simple and reliable avionics suite, makes it ideal for learning the fundamentals of VFR flying.

The heavy-duty landing gear absorbs even the hardest landings and allows routine operations from grass runways. Approved for intentional spins, the Velis Club is also perfectly suited for advanced UPRT training.

The constant-speed variable-pitch propeller delivers faster cruise speeds and improved fuel economy. With speeds up to 133 KTAS and a range of over 1,000 km, it’s a high-performance cruiser ideal for cross-country flying.

The Velis Club is also approved for glider towing, with the addition of an optional glider tow hook.

Safety

As an EASA type-certified aircraft, the Velis Club has demonstrated safety levels required by CS-LSA regulations, successfully passing all qualification tests. Its Rotax 912 S3 engine, also EASA certified, is a proven and reliable powerplant with an extensive operational history.

Building on the safety heritage of its predecessors — the Virus SW 121 and Velis Electro — the Velis Club adds features that enhance safety beyond certification requirements, including:

Multi-sensory-path stall warning system
Intentional spin approval
Optional Ballistic Parachute Rescue System

The stall warning system uses true angle of attack measurement and includes:

Haptic stick vibration
Audible alarm in the headset
Cockpit acoustic alert

The Ballistic Parachute Rescue System (Galaxy GRS), available as optional equipment, acts as a “second chance” safety system, intended for use in scenarios where all other solutions are ineffective.
